Pharmacological Profile & Mechanism of Action
What it is: Hexarelin (Examorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide that is recognized scientifically as the single most potent growth hormone secretagogue in the entire GHRP family.
How it works: It binds strongly to the ghrelin receptor in the pituitary gland and also binds to CD36 receptors in cardiac and vascular tissues. It produces the largest growth hormone pulse of any peptide secretagogue, without increasing appetite. Furthermore, its CD36 binding gives it unmatched, direct cardioprotective and anti-ischemic properties.
Why researchers study it: Studied for acute cardiovascular protection following heart attacks, intense tissue repair, severe tendon regeneration, and maximum growth hormone surges.
