What it is: ARA-290 (also known as Cibinetide) is an engineered 11-amino-acid peptide designed from the tissue-protective helix B domain of Erythropoietin (EPO).
How it works: Unlike natural EPO, ARA-290 selectively binds only to the Innate Repair Receptor (IRR)—the heterodimer of the EPO receptor and CD131—without binding to the classic EPO receptor. This means it triggers powerful tissue repair and anti-inflammatory signaling without increasing red blood cell production, blood thickness, or clot risks.
